Battery life

The durability of the batteries depends on how much the particular sensor is used. Therefore, we can only give average values. With average use (private household), the disposable battery of the sensors has a service life of one to two years.

The following applies here: The more the sensors are stressed, the shorter the life of the batteries. This is because every little vibration wakes up the sensor and therefore consumes power. If the battery of a sensor discharges quickly, it may be because the door or window where the sensor is mounted rattles due to gusts of wind, which constantly wakes up the sensor.

Note:

As soon as the sensors lose the connection to the Smart Home base, they permanently try to reconnect. If this condition persists for a longer period of time or occurs more frequently, it will significantly affect the useful life of the battery. To avoid the sensors constantly trying to reconnect, the Smart Home base should generally not be disconnected from the power. If you need to disconnect the Smart Home base from power, please also remove the batteries from the sensors for this time.

Replace batteries
