The Gigaset Smart Home system requires an existing Internet connection and a connection to the elements cloud.
The signals from the Gigaset sensors are sent via the Smart Home base to the elements Cloud. The elements Cloud evaluates this. The elements Cloud sends the evaluations as messages to your defined notification channels.
If one of the two connections - elements Cloud or your Internet connection - is not available, no evaluation and no feedback will be sent to you. Therefore no alarm triggering.
