Description sensors:


Gravity sensor: Used to automatically switch between horizontal and vertical format.


Proximity sensor: Using infrared rays, a sensor measures whether the phone is held to the ear. If the rays are reflected, the technology detects the nearing cheek. Screen and touch control switch off automatically.


Brightness sensor: The brighter the screen is set, the faster the battery is discharged. The brightness sensor therefore measures the light in the environment and adjusts the brightness of the screen.


Fingerprint sensor: The sensor is made of many individual cells. These are small enough to detect the difference in skin height. It can be used to replace PIN entry or to authorise payments.


E-compass: Also called an acceleration sensor, it allows you to automatically switch the display between horizontal and portrait mode, as well as control games via the tilt angle. This sensor is also important for exact position detection.


Gyroscope sensor: It allows you to determine the orientation of your mobile phone (north, west, south, east) very precisely. In the Google Maps app, for example, you can see where your phone is pointing while you are determining your position.
