WhatsApp offers an automatic backup option, but it is not automatically enabled after installation.
Android 11/12/13 | ||
1. Open the WhatsApp app | 2. Click on the button at the top right corner and open the options | 3. "Settings" |
4. "Chats" | 5. "Chat backup" | 6. Select your Google Account where you want the backup to be created. Click "Back up" to back up your WhatsApp chats (including pictures and voice messages) to Google Drive.Here you also have the option to select "Include Videos" |
Note: We recommend that you only create the backup if you are in a wireless network.
If you reinstall WhatsApp or move to a new smartphone later, WhatsApp will automatically offer to restore your data. Provided you sign in with the same Google Account.
