Not all Gigaset mobile phones allow the SIM-card to be exchanged during operation (SIM-hot-swapping / SIM-hot-swap / SIM-hot-plugging).
If the device does not support an exchange during operation and thus the SIM card is not recognised, it is necessary to restart the device.
Note
It is recommended to replace the SIM card only when the device is switched off.
