Why do I have to select the country when starting up for the first time?

The product is designed for use in many European countries. 

By selecting the country in which the device is to be used, important technical parameters are loaded to ensure proper operation.

These are the international dialling codes and the call sign.

Please note this if you ever wish to use the device in another country.
