How do I update the software on my Gigaset smartphone?
We're always working on improvements for our Gigaset smartphones, and to bring these improvements, security updates and new features to your smartphone, system updates are required.
Note: You must be connected to the Internet to download an update. We recommend using a WLAN connection during the system update.
Android 9
1. Open the settings | ||
2. "About device" | 3. "System updates" | 4. "Check for updates" |
If an update is available, it can be downloaded here. Otherwise, you can check your software version here and the device will indicate that the software is up to date.
Android 10/11/12
1. Open the settings | ||
2. "System" | 3. "System Update" | 4. "Check for updates" |
Android 13
1. Open the settings | ||
2. "System" | 3. "System update" | 4. "Check for updates" |
Error message:
If the system update fails and this error message appears:
we recommend that you remove the SD card from the unit and restart the system update. The system update should now be done without an error message. After the update has been installed on your device, you can reinsert the card and use it as normal.
